Fresh off of Rush Hour, some truly peculiar, out of your head, grunge space beats featuring the vocals of strange European women talking about drinking jet fuel. Yes, sometimes it is OK to feel a bit psychotic, and this is just the tune to make me want to close my eyes become a highly refined version of petroleum and be propelled through the combustion chamber of a jet engine. The winner here is definitely he A track “Alive,” B track isn’t doing it for me.

I have been picking up Nu-Groove records when ever I run across them at Amoeba LA, so this compilation of the Burrell Brothers’ productions from 1988 to 1992 is something I truly got excited for. The Burrell Brothers are Rheji & Rhano Burrell, twin brothers from New York City who released under numerous aliases on Nu Groove Records. Nu Groove was one of the leading and most prolific house labels in the genres early history. Those 4 years in house music are considered defining and most consider the Burrell Borthers a part of this definition. Here is a great chance to catch up on great music.
